If you are looking for a place to unwind and relax Villas Del Mar is the place for you. We stayed at Brisa Del Mar and found the villa to have EVERYTHING we needed PLUS so much more. The kitchen had everything we needed, the towels, the bedding, the furniture, all were beyond our expectations. The staff were so accommodating, they were there anytime you needed them but not in your face when you wanted to be alone. We felt 100% safe and well cared for. We loved Pizza night with the staff and the owners who were also on the property during our visit. Rosa made us a Lobster Pizza that will not be forgotten, it was delicious!! There is a SPA for pampering, Kayaks for adventure and don’t forget the vehicle they make available for the guests, it could not have been more perfect for us. We used Subway Divers who came to the dock to pick us up and drop us back each day we wanted to dive. Thank you again!!

Place was amazing, every day was beautiful!!! Take snorkles to the reef and tie off to white bouy, great snorkling there and to left of dock. Take trip to Jade Beach, its awsomely beautiful, ask for Capt Terry. Tropical Island Divers was close and great diving. For happy hour go to Cal’s best happy hour fom 3 to 7 get the blue Hawaiian!! Crazy end of island; bar called Asylum Bar is over the water and "snorkle friendly"and you can sign a bill and put it onwall, Down from bar is longest beach on Roatan.

To all the wonderful staff.

Fuego del Mar has been an amazing experience. The pool is great and it is wonderful to be able to snorkle right off the dock. I am a huge animal lover so having dogs and cats around is a great treat. My sister and I stayed up in the tower and we had a wonderful view of the property. Rosa did an amazing job of cooking, the security made me and my family extra safe and the hand painted dishes made everything look so at home.

My aunt had a birthday so it was great to celebrate here! The sunsets at Fuego del Mar are a terrific sight! Thank you all for such a terrific vacation at Fuego del Mar, Roatan, Honduras.

The six of us enjoyed our week here in paradise. The house is beautiful and well maintained by an amazing staff.

The food was beyond our wildest expectations - Rosa and Jessica are truly amazing cooks and great company.

We loved the dogs and will miss them terribly.

Hope to be back again - hoping for double the sun and more amazing food!

We just got back from staying at Fuego del Mar (also rented Mariposa and Brisas) -- there were 19 of us in all. Fabulous accommodations and the staff was fabulous. The personal chef, Rosa, puts together simple island inspired meals that are better than anywhere else on the island. Subway diving is a top notch diving outfit and will pick you up at the Fuego dock for diving excursions. We dove with Osmand and can’t say enough about his experience & knowledge of the reefs and Roatan. He was a terrific DM. Since this is a quieter side of the island, you escape the cattle boats and overcrowded dive sites. The diving is great around the entire island.

There is one road -- can’t get lost -- if you want to take the car out for an excursion, or you can hire a driver. West bay is a bit far -- 40 minutes -- but would be worth one or two day trips. Turquoise Bay is a quick hop via car.

If you want more nightlife and a beach then stay in West Bay or West End. If you want hospitality, service, and a tranquil place to catch up with friends or family, you can’t get much better than Fuego del Mar.

“ Brisa del Mar ”

We’ve just returned from a peaceful week at Brisa del Mar. If you’re looking for a remote and tranquil location this is the one. The house opens up from the living room and both bedrooms to exquisite views of the reef beyond your own private infinity pool. The staff were all helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the use of the car and local cell phone, so that we could explore the island on our own. Beautiful West Bay is only 40 minutes away. We enjoyed sea kyaking and snorkling right from our dock. Lots of great restaurants to choose from. Rosa and Jessica made a fabulous shrimp marsala, salad, and fresh bread for us one night which was a treat. The week flew by. Fabulous spot.

Regarding Mariposa del Mar

We just returned home from our stay at Mariposa and it was absolutely amazing. The pictures on the website don’t do this place justice. The house and view is in incredible. The pool was great when we got back from snorkeling everyday - there is an amazing reef right off the dock that you can swim or kayak to. The security guys were awesome; we never felt unsafe at all like I was afraid of. The groundskeepers were always walking around the properties but they were never in the way. Fausto, the main security guard, was great - always a quick phone call away if we needed ice, the kayaks put in the water, really anything we needed at all.

The kitchen is extremely well stocked and the appliances are so nice! We didn’t get Rosa to cook for us, only because we love to cook, but we did buy shrimp and lobster from her.

We are 2 adult couples who travel at least 2x a year outside the US borders, and have just completed an 8 day stay at Mariposa del Mar.

Picture this property if you will, as a resort, with 3 separate houses, on several acres of land. Security was present as you would find in any resort setting but never intrusive. There is a gate to the property that is met by security upon entering and leaving.

The managers were helpful with a full orientation to the property and tips on "must dos".

As far as cell phone and wi-fi, there is a cell phone at the house that minutes can be purchased, we were able to call with great reception. Wi-fi, is slow.

We would highly recommend this property and will be repeat visitors.

We’ve been here about a week now, not sure what day it is. Things just keep getting better.

We kayaked out to the reef and snorkeled yesterday and in the afternoon the staff cooked us pizza in a traditional wood oven.

We rented the boat today and caught a huge spanish mackeral and had it for lunch, cooked on the grill.

The staff and accommodations are more than we ever expected.

We’ve been hitting some local eateries--went to La Sirena, a funky little place with awesome food, and are going to Hole in the wall tonite.

Went to the West End and West Bay, but that isn’t my cup of tea.

Already we’re planning our next trip to Mariposa del Mar. We had such a wonderful trip. In between diving with Gillian and her crew, swinging through the trees on the canopy tour, visiting Punta Gorda village, experiencing the famous (should I say infamous??) Hole in the Wall, and deep sea fishing, it’s hard to believe we still had time to enjoy your wonderful little piece of heaven. But we did! I couldn’t get the kids out of the pool, or myself out of your comfy deck chairs! And we will absolutely miss waking up to this amazing view. Thank you and thanks to your terrific staff for helping to make this the best vacation we’ve ever had. What a week!
